Interview Experience :
The interview was conducted at NPCI office, Hyderabad. The interviewers were cool and friendly.
- It started with self-introduction, mostly it covers the self interests and passion and slowly dig into technical stuff.
- Little discussion about basics of M.tech project such as, what is cryptography, encryption and what kind encryption is used in web browsers.
- After the project there was a discussion about programming languages, I preferred C, they asked me why C why not Java? I explained the benefits involved in C over Java in my project.
- Discussed various differences between C and Java. They asked few basic questions in JAVA, asked about garbage collector in JAVA and can we have similar functionality in C?
- Then slowly digged into C basics, asked me the steps involved in running of C program, is it possible to compile & run a C program without main and then discussion about the pointers, double pointers and what kind of vulnerability is there with pointers such as dangling pointers.
- Usage of static variable in C with an example program.
- After programming languages they asked few questions in data structures such as what is tree, binary tree, BST and then the difference between binary tree and BST. They asked about the real time applications of trees.
- After data structures, they asked questions from computer-networks and dbms.
- From CN they asked about OSI layers , the difference between hub and switch, what are the layers in hub.
- From dbms they asked about the differences between MYSQL and Oracle
- Finally they asked me to choose between Developer and Testing Profile and we need to explain them why do we make that choice.
One thing i can say from my overall experience is it is combination of HR and technical in a single hit and mostly it will be resume based interview and honesty matters.
